This fantastic piece of history boasts a plaque stating it was made for St. Bartholomew's Church in Sheffield, England.        Located on Langsett Road in Sheffield, England, St. Bartholomew's is one of four Daughter Churches of the famous St. Philip's.  It was consecrated on the date shown on the plaque in 1882.               The podium Base and supportive column are elaborately decorated, with every detail finely crafted in wood.  The wood is likely English Oak, identifiable by its grain and coloration, and it has been finished with a coating that has allowed it to survive the test of time.  The hexagonal base is signed with the initials WJB on the bottom, and has a plate stating its dedication.  It reads: "For the - New - Church of St. Bartholomew, Sheffield.
